New media is continuously advancing and being used everyday while fostering creativity. Some new media technologies or platforms would be Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, Virtual Reality, MMORPG(Massively-Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) and much more. All these platforms allows the individual to be creative. For example, on YouTube, everyone can have their own channel to create their own content for the specific niche they prefer. For example, there are food exploration videos, cooking guide videos, traveling videos, game-play videos and much more. Everyone has their own style on their videos whether it be the content or the video editing itself. YouTubers generally have their own style and song for their outtro and intro which allows their audience to recognize their channel uniquely. This allows for the individuals to be creative in order to create something that reaches to their audience and have them come back for more future videos. Another example would be playing MMORPG, you can do many things in MMORPG whether it be communicating, networking, marketing, financing and much more. MMORPG is more than just your regular single player game. They generally have a lot of characteristics of a reality inputted into a fantasy world. For example, MMORPG has their own economy with their own currency and market rates. There are outliers in the game where some are considered  tycoons in the server or game. To reach that level, those individuals must've been creative somewhere in the process. For example, if an event in the game releases an item that would be limited to this one event, a creative player might invest by purchasing the items from other players and saving it for a long period of time before reselling for a higher value. New media can also foster creativity in digital or social marketing and reaching consumers with social media. According to, "How user-generated content can improve your social media marketing strategy", consumers are more likely to buy into honest reviews. With the usage of new media technologies like Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Facebook businesses can easily connect with consumers to review feedback to further improve their business.

Many new media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and many more contains so much personal information that it wouldn't be good if someone besides you had the access to it. With the internet being so enormous , there are hackers everywhere and your personal information is at risk of being leaked to the public. There is always a risk when you are posting something online. According to, "Facebook Privacy Is So Confusing Even the Zuckerberg Family Photo Isn't Private", Mark Zuckerberg's sister posted a photo of her with her family, but later found her photo was posted by someone else and is now all over the internet without her consent. This is only the tip of the iceberg compared to what hackers can do to you with your personal data on the internet. I've always wanted to start an online business. I've recently created an advertisement video for my product and uploaded it to YouTube. I plan on using new media technologies and platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to advertise my product to reach consumers.
