One type of new media that doesn't currently exist is the usage of virtual reality headsets and cameras to experience and immerse into an environment. Virtual reality currently exist, but it is still undeveloped in many aspects. In the future, I hope technology becomes more advanced to the point where the usage of virtual reality in day to day life would be more common. For example, during times of crisis like the Covid19 pandemic, students are not able to learn like how they're used to. An online session in Zoom isn't enough in my opinion. This applies especially to students who are taking science courses where they would need to experience lab sessions. With virtual reality, students can immerse into a stimulated environment where they can learn physically. In addition to this, because of the pandemic, hospitals are forbidding visitors to keep everyone in the hospital safe.
